FYI, Kathy and Frank are registered at...

Macy's and Williams-Sonoma if you should feel compelled to generously contribute to our new life together. It's all kitchenware, towels, linens... Any monetary donations will go to our savings for the downpayment and furnishing of a modest condo. And maybe Frank will even spoil himself on something other than a new set of washcloths and a pepper mill.

Accomodations (fancy word for "hotels")

We have reserved a block of rooms at Le Merigot and the Doubletree Guest Suites in Santa Monica, both not far from the church and an abundance of nightlife and entertainment. To make a reservation at Le Merigot, simply call and ask for the Ripley/Frisoli wedding. You may also call for the Doubletree, or you may book online using the Group Code CDT62J. Neither are particularly cheap, I think our Le Merigot rate is $290 a night and our Doubletree rate is about $190 a night. If you want to do something else, I understand. There are many hotels in the area, but expect to pay for anything near the beach. The couch in our apartment is available for $999 a night.

Reception

We will be entertaining our guests following the ceremony at a reception (noonish?) at Inn of the Seventh Ray in Topanga Canyon. It's about a 20 minute drive from the church up the PCH and up the windy road into the canyon. The area was a Bohemian enclave years ago and remains so in parts today. Lots of hippies. Valet will be available at the Inn. It's a gorgeous, intimate space nestled in the canyon. We will be outdoors and it can get quite warm, so dress appropriately. Appetizers and a buffet lunch will be served: filet mignon, sea bass, and a vegetarian option, lasagna I believe. Everything is organic, the fish is line caught, and the meat is free range... apparently some people care about these things. Unlimited beer and wine. No liquor license. I know, I know.

Yes, everyone... it's official. I will be taking that last step into manhood (and consequently losing much of that thereof) by getting married to one Katherine Ripley, also of 428 N Genesee Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036. I'd like to say I'm mostly doing this to please my father who disapproves of us living in sin, but that's not the case... it's because I dearly love her and I can't help but smile everytime I look at her.

So between this, World of Warcraft, season tickets to football... I've got a lot to plan for in the fall. And SO DO YOU. At 11 am on October 6, 2007 at St. Monica's Parish in Santa Monica, CA a truly historic event will take place (at least for me and hopefully Kathy). Make sure you make yourselves available to grace us with your presents... er, presence.
